Whereas the lion is hosted in an enemy capital. While lion does well head to head, you can boost your Griffon knights. They are not going to make or break your kingdom. Archer squad that won’t be in enough numbers until after your hoard can steam roll everything. Some specific orders that people think are the best but objectively are not: Nearly every other KO is in enemy hands, so being able to freely boost your knights can be what makes them nearly invulnerable. The ability to drop a small amount of money - 70k, for example, brings in +6 str and agi, +60 WP. Also the shadow legion for excellent knights (even if they lack lances). That being said: Honourable mention to the Order of the Phoenix, who are pretty good too. None of them surpass Griffon knights head to head, although the clarion call are nice in numbers. The other mounted orders (raven spear, clarion call, dawn, evantide, radiant cross) have inferior sergeants to the Griffon. The rest provide some decent heavy infantry, but it is coming at a time when you need to survive in the field. Of the other core orders (dragon, Valkyrie, windrider, immortals, lion), only Griffon have mounted sergeants. Here is why:ġ- both knights and sergeants are mountedĢ- frequently bringing a lance to battles while also having shields to be useful during sieges (both knight and sergeant)ģ- if you can found the order, you can found many chapters without a qualis gem cost you can put one in every fief in your kingdom to boost your lordsĤ- every knight has a good horse, and I believe the sergeants do tooĥ- the knights come with good equipment, able to match any other KOĦ- the skills also match any other KO, so Griffon can go toe to toe with them in sieges or the fieldħ- nice bonus grandmaster and captain Armor setsĨ- you control access to Griffon troops boosting them never helps an enemy Out of the cavalry orders, Griffon is the best.

After you have it, you need to fortify it and prepare to go independent (if you aren’t already) - that is where winning field battles keeps you alive, not trying to handle a 2500 troop siege against your puny fief. Archers are most useful getting that first fief. You need to already own a fief to be able to induct new members of your order.

Or, to put it another way: heavy cavalry is heavy infantry during a siege, plus there are good options for heavy infantry outside of the KO.Īrchers would be useful, except for the problem of numbers. It is called MOUNT and blade because a bunch of heavy cavalry can F1 F3 most battles. Infantry are inferior to cavalry in the field. The cavalry KO are the most useful to have over a play, with the infantry being the least effective. There are three types of KO: archers, infantry, and cavalry. Until then, you are sacrificing a companion for training, gems to augment companions (probably), lost gems to get CKO unlocks, and by the time your CKO is better than the regular KO you are around day 1,000 and should be the only kingdom standing anyways. This is because a CKO takes a ton of time to get up and running in a useful fashion. Let’s get this out of the way: almost all KOs are better than a custom knighthood order in a normal play. My focus is on the practical aspect of the game, do whatever you want for RP purposes (even though Griffon are the canon KO of the kingdom of Pendor). I will start with a brief overview why they are the best, then I will address a few common “competitors” (ie loser guilds), and then wrap up with some examples from my current play. The best knighthood order, far and away, is the Order of the Griffon.
